Privacy policy
1. Controller
Swiss Institute for Digital Finance, c/o PRUDENTIA AG, Morgartenstrasse 9, 6003 Luzern, Switzerland, info@sidf.ch (‘we’). We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. Data that we process
Website visits: our hosting provider stores technical data in server log files. This data includes the IP address, the browser type, the date and time of access, and the pages that you view. The purpose is security and stability.
Enquiries and applications: the data that you give us when you contact us or apply (name, contact details, CV, transcripts, correspondence). We process applications together with the awarding body, EIM (European Institute of Management), as far as necessary for the admission decision.
This website does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics.
3. Purposes and legal bases
Provision and security of the website; processing of enquiries; assessment of applications and administration of studies; compliance with legal obligations. The legal bases are our legitimate interests, the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures, your consent, and legal obligations.
4. Recipients
Hosting provider, e-mail provider, and EIM (European Institute of Management, Malta) for admission and study administration. This can include a transfer of data to an EU member state. EU member states provide an adequate level of data protection.
5. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purpose, or as long as the law requires. We delete the application data of unsuccessful applicants at the latest twelve months after the decision, unless you agree to a longer retention.
6. Your rights
You have the right to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You can withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise your rights, contact info@sidf.ch. You can also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or a competent EU supervisory authority.
7. Changes
We can change this privacy policy at any time. The version on this website applies. Last update: 18 August 2026.
